Free Group Therapy Training This Saturday

Hello amazing Alliant students!

Have you ever wanted to learn more about how to run effective group therapy? We spend a lot of time in school learning about individual therapy but then are expected to run groups in practicum. Whether you have no experience running groups at all or would like to go deeper into the art of it, the Student Government Association (SGA) is proud to offer a free training on Group Therapy happening on Saturday, April 8th from 10am - 12pm (RSVP required).

The training will provide you with a solid understanding of the basics and nuances of running groups with a theme of: Finding the process in process groups. To solidify the training, there will be an experiential demonstration which you will be welcome to volunteer to participate in (space limited). The training will be provided by Lawrence Shweky, LCSW from the EMERGE Center for Social and Emotional Learning who specializes in running groups for adolescents.

Please RSVP to bpritchard@alliant for the Zoom link if you wish to attend. We hope to see you all there!
