“This course was, without a doubt, the single most helpful and informative thing ever offered in all my years searching for answers." "Helped me to understand better and communicate more effectively with my brother." “Helped me to realize that my son is still inside the body yet hidden by the mental illness." "I am not alone in this.”

The free eight week Zoom class begins Wednesday March 22, 2023 All classes: 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. To register send us an email peggy.r@namialamedacounty.org We will respond with the Zoom link. NAMI Family-to-Family is a free education course for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course shows family members how to understand and support loved ones without ignoring their own well being. We include up to the minute information on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and other serious mental health conditions as well as useful methods of dealing with everyday problems, medication side effects, plenty of time for questions, and a room full of understanding. Our services are always free to the participants, but we still have expenses. We are doing more now and we need more money to do it. Help us out! Donate!

We've been through it and we know the shortcuts. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, is dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness, their families and their caregivers.

Have you ever wondered where mindfulness meditation originated? And have you ever been curious how Eastern wisdom has integrated with a more Western approach to healing? Well the SF-SGA is partnering with the Sacramento-SGA, who has arranged for a free training event for Alliant students: A Buddhist Psychotherapy Analysis of Meditation with Clients (see attached flyer).

The training will be on October 15th from 10am - 12pm, so please mark your calendars. It will be through Zoom and the Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the event. If you wish to attend, send us an email at sfsga@alliant.edu

Hope to see you there!
